VPN-Portal myREX24 - Information

Our intelligent central exchange with integrated user and REX 300 management provides both user accounts for the remote maintenance personnel as well as REX 300 accounts for the automation system on the portal.

Depending on the configuration, the system can be constantly logged in at the portal or the login at the portal is user-controlled as required. It is not relevant whether the provider allocates dynamic or private IP addresses (usually for GSM/GPRS/EDGE) as the connection is always established from the user and from the system to the portal. An outgoing connection is thus active from both sides. This also has the benefit that the firewall at both ends can be configured so that establishment of the connection from the Internet is generally blocked. Therefore, higher protection against unauthorised access is guaranteed.

The data transmission itself is performed via secure VPN connections based on the OpenVPN security protocol. The login to myREX24.net is performed using a free client software application which automatically processes the authentication.

The connection to the system is established a few seconds after the mouse click. The remote maintenance of the components such as S7 controllers, drives, control panels and industrial PCs is performed completely transparently using the existing planning software.

The portal is hosted in a high performance computer centre. With a redundant connection and 365/24/7 monitoring, a network availability of 98% on an annual average is guaranteed.
